
Finally connected my blu-ray player to my tv with an hdmi cable. I left the component connection to compare the two pictures. Watching "Ratatouille," I can see the difference, but you wouldn't know unless you had a comparison side by side. There is this part where the player is loading up the movie and there is a little white circle with a rat doing the hula-hoop inside against a black background. You can see the little hairs of the rat more clearly and the circle is less pixelated. I think the sound is better. I don't know if it's because I just read HDMI cables can transmit Dolby 7.1 channels or if I can tell. But I think the surround sound is more surrounding.
