Spielberg at his sentimental best. Cast is top-notch. Captures what I view as romanticized 80's suburban life with newly built tract houses and wise-cracking, but nice white kids of divorced parents. Remember sobbing at ten years old in the theater with my aunt and soon-to-be uncle. Still makes me sob!
